Daily Reflection Summary
Day 19 - 8 July, 2024
Today, I substituted a class in 9E and taught Chemistry in 8A on the topic of "Sublimation." I used ICT tools to deliver the content and demonstrated the sublimation of camphor. The visual demonstration helped to make the concept of sublimation more tangible for the students, enhancing their understanding of the phase transition where a solid turns directly into a gas.
Day 20 - 9 July, 2024
My day involved substituting for a Chemistry class on "Centrifugation" in 8A, where I utilized ICT to present the topic and related it to everyday uses. This approach helped to contextualize the process and make it more relevant to students' lives. I also substituted in 9E and conducted a Physics class on "Acceleration" in 9B. I employed ICT methods and daily examples to clarify the concept of acceleration, making it more accessible and engaging for the students.
Day 21 - 10 July, 2024
In Chemistry, I covered the topic of "Chromatography" in 8A, using a model to explain the separation of components in a mixture. The practical demonstration helped in visualizing the process. I also substituted for PT in 9C.
Day 22 - 11 July, 2024
I substituted for a class in 9C and taught Physics in 9B on "Total Internal Reflection," using a semi-circular glass slab and a laser torch. I integrated edublogs into the lesson to enhance understanding. The demonstration was observed by Neena teacher, who provided constructive feedback on my teaching methods.
Day 23 - 12 July, 2024
I substituted for a Physics class in 9B on "Uniform & Non-Uniform Acceleration," using ICT tools and daily examples to clarify the concepts. The use of practical examples continued to be an effective strategy in making complex topics more comprehensible.
Throughout the week, my focus was on using ICT tools and practical demonstrations to facilitate learning. The integration of real-life examples with theoretical content helped in making abstract concepts more understandable for students. The observations and feedback received will guide improvements in my teaching practices.
